Who We Are
The UPA is a non-profit organization established by the sons and daughters of Ulakwo residing in the USA to promote the unity, cooperation, and cultural heritage of Ulakwo People and Diaspora, and to raise and use resources to contribute to the improvement of the health, education, economic, and cultural well-being of Ulakwo community in Imo State Nigeria.
The Association is established to:
Build, cultivate and maintain a strong unified community of Ulakwo Peoples in the USA.
Initiate, finance, and execute projects that are likely to contribute to the social, economic, and cultural development of Ulakwo People.
Develop and improve social and educational infrastructure in Ulakwo.
Promote the health, welfare and economy of the people of Ulakwo.
Raise funds for the education of the children of Ulakwo.
Encourage exemplary citizenship among members and their families.
Cultivate, educate, and promote effective leadership in Ulakwo.
